About Me — Eloise at Bloomify (Wedding Florist, UK)

Eloise Wedding Florist UK

I feel like I should start this by saying — this isn’t going to be a perfectly polished “about me”.

Because that’s not really how I am.

I’m Eloise. I run Bloomify — a wedding florist based in the UK, working across the Cotswolds, South Wales and beyond. And most days, I’m balancing flowers with three small children (all under five), a slightly chaotic house, and a to-do list that never really ends.

And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I didn’t always do this

Before flowers, I spent 15 years in the corporate world.

It looked “right” on paper. Stable, structured, the kind of career you’re supposed to want. And for a long time, I did.

Then I had children.
And everything shifted.

I didn’t want to rush anymore. I didn’t want to sit behind a screen all day building something that didn’t feel like mine. I wanted to slow things down, work with my hands, and actually feel what I was creating.

Bloomify came from that point — not a big dramatic leap, just a quiet decision that I wanted something different.

What I actually love about weddings

I love weddings. Probably more than is normal.

Not just the day — but the build-up. The ideas. The tiny details people care about.

I listen to wedding podcasts while I work. I spend a lot of time at venues. I think about how a space feels, not just how it looks.

And when it comes to flowers — I’m always drawn to installations.

The big moment.
The thing that makes people stop when they walk in.

Those are never last-minute ideas. They sit in my head for weeks, sometimes months. I’ll sketch them, rethink them, go back and forth on them while I’m doing completely unrelated things like making dinner or doing the school run.

That’s the part of being a wedding florist I love the most.

Flowers — and being honest about them

I love British flowers. The movement, the seasonality, how imperfect they are — they’re incredible.

But I don’t only use British flowers, and I think it’s important to say that.

Flowers grown in places like Africa support entire communities. Families. Livelihoods. And that matters too.

So for me, it’s about balance — creating beautiful, natural wedding flowers while also understanding where they come from.

That’s also why I’ve chosen to support a charity (One Woman at a Time) with every wedding I book. It’s a small amount per wedding, but it feels important to build that into the business.

Life outside of weddings

Because it’s not all flowers (even though it can feel like it sometimes).

I love tea — loose leaf, proper tea, the whole ritual of it.
Also wine, Champagne, and a good gin and tonic depending on the day.

Food-wise — curry, chocolate, tapas… anything good, basically.

I run when I can (not very far, not very fast).
I spend a lot of time in the garden with my children.
And I’m always happiest when the sun’s out.

If you’re here

If you’re planning a wedding and looking for a wedding florist who creates natural, slightly untamed, installation-led designs — that’s exactly what I do.

But more than that, I care about how it feels.
Not just how it photographs.

And I think that’s what people are really investing in.

This is me.
Slightly tired, very passionate, and completely in love with what I do.
